Namun, Album ini sepertinya tak terlalu dipromosikan. Hanya bisa dibeli lewat Amazon. Tak heran jika banyak fans Backstreet Boys yang tak mengetahui kabar dirilisnya Album ini. Tidak ada single baru yang dikeluarkan dari album ini. Semuanya hanya berisi lagu lama yang sudah ada di album-album sebelumnya.

This is Us adalah album ketujuh Backstreet Boys dan merupakan album kedua Backstreet Boys dengan formasi 4 member setelah Kevin Richardson keluar dari grup pada tahun 2006. Album ini resmi dirilis pada 30 September 2009 di Jepang, 5 Oktober 2009 di Inggris, dan 6 Oktober 2009 di Amerika.

Di Album This is Us ini Backstreet Boys mencoba kembali bekerja sama dengan produser Max Martin (produser yang banyak bekerja sama dengan Backstreet Boys di album sebelumnya seperti di lagu I Want It That Way di Album Millenium). Selain itu, Backstreet Boys juga menggandeng musisi-musisi ternama untuk diajak bekerja sama dalam Album This is Us seperti Ryan Tedder, Claude Kelly, Jim Jonsin, dan T-Pain. Backstreet Boys juga ikut menulis beberapa lagu di album ini, seperti lagu This is Us, On Without You, International Luv.
